M.Ed Academic Programme

The Purpose of M.Ed Course is to prepare professionals to man teacher Education institutions and to discharge various administrative and supervisory responsibilities in Education sector.

This programme visualizes developing in the students the right skills, Competencies and aptitude to enable them to effectively undertake the activities of the supervisory personnel in the Educational Institution. The teacher in the College of Education as well as in the University Departments of Educations, The Researchers in the Professionals centers of research in Education and other allied disciplines, and the educational Technologist pertaining to instructions and its management.

1. The Course Leading to the Degree of Master of Education(M.Ed) Jiwaji University ,Gwalior shall consist of Two academic year followed by an examination at the end.

2. Eligibility

The candidates with the following qualification shall be eligible for the course At least 50% marks on post graduate degree in science/ humanities/social science .

(A)At least 50% marks in both in Theory and practical separately in B.Ed or in education part of 4 years. B.A., B.Ed /B.S.C B.Ed.

(B) A candidate for the examination of M.Ed degree shall pursue course of study in the colleges of education .Department of education under Barkatullah University Bhopal for a period of Two academic session.

3. (a) A candidate for the examination of the M.Ed Degree shall pursue course study in the colleges of Education, Department of Education under Jiwaji University, Bhopal for a period of Two academic session.

Admission procedure
Admission will be done on merit basis .The candidate will have two submit 2 copies of application one copy along with the relevant document to be submitted in the institution /college concerned and another copy to the university department of education. At both the places college wise/student wise merit list will be prepared for both group of candidates viz. for M.P state and other states and admission will be done accordingly. Marks of both B.Ed and PG examinations will be considered for preparing the merit by taking the average of both examination marks.

General information
Original documents that may be required at the time of admission

1. Proof of age in form of Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate e.t.c.
2. All original mark-sheets/certificates cited in application.
3. Character Certificate and Transfer Certificate from last institution attended.
4. Certificate of Category from competent authority (for SC/ST candidates) OBC is not included in SC/ST category.
5. No objection certificate (if employed)
6. In case of selection Transfer Certificate from last institution attended would be required to be deposited in original.
7. Certificate of Physically Handicapped from Competent Authority
